1. Private tour : Aix-en-Provence, Cassis, Marseille

Aix-en-Provence, Cassis et Marseille private tour

Walking tour (1h45 to 2h) of the old center of Aix-en-Provence (Cours Mirabeau, Mazarin district, Place Richelme market, Saint-Sauveur cathedral, Place d’Albertas…).

We will show you some local specialties (pastries, lavender essential oils, Marseille soaps, olive oils…).

For lunch, we will recommend restaurants in downtown Aix or on the seaside in La Ciotat or Cassis. You are free to choose a shorter break according to your desires.

In the afternoon, free time in Cassis (boat ride in the creeks / calanques, shopping…). View point from Cap Canaille and scenic road to Marseille.

Stop at Notre dame de la Garde Basilica for an amazing panoramic view.

2. Private tour : Luberon perched Villages

Departure for Lourmarin, ideally on a Friday, market day, free time to discover one of the most beautiful villages of the Luberon, with its Renaissance castle, its vineyards (visit and tasting in option), its galleries and art craftsmen.

 

For lunch, we will recommend restaurants in Lourmarin, Lauris, Oppède-le-Vieux, Ménerbes, Goult or Gordes.


We will continue the day by taking the Combe, a winding road for a few kilometers to discover from near or far the perched villages of Bonnieux, Lacoste, Ménerbes, Oppède-le-Vieux, Roussillon and Gordes. From the Marquis de Sade to Vasarely, they all have a unique story to tell.

3. Private tour : Isle sur la Sorgue and Fontaine de Vaucluse

Every Sunday there is a flea market and antiques market in the heart of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, which you will discover along the eponymous river. The Villa Datris is a contemporary stopover not to be missed.

You can also (optionally) visit the Filaventure museum, a factory that has been working nobly with silk and wool for 8 generations.

We will recommend restaurants in the city center for lunch.

In the afternoon, we will drive you to Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, at the foot of a 340 meters high cliff where the fountain has dug its exurgence, a natural exit of the biggest spring in France giving birth to the Sorgue.

4. Private tour : Forcalquier, Banon and Simiane la Rotonde

Discovery in the morning of Forcalquier, ancient city of the counts and real jewel where lives about a hundred artists (ceramists, painters, sculptors and photographers). After strolling through the medieval streets, you will be charmed by the 360° panorama offered after a short climb to the Citadel, facing the Luberon, the Lure mountain and the Verdon.

 

Every Monday, one of the biggest markets in Provence is held in the city center. We recommend a wine tasting at the Distilleries et Domaines de Provence boutique-museum.

 

As an option, visit the Artemisia Museum (history of perfume, medicinal and aromatic plants).

 

For lunch, we will recommend restaurants in Forcalquier, Pierrerue, Niozelles, Banon or Simiane-la-Rotonde.

 

Banon will be a second stop in Haute Provence between Lure and Mont Ventoux, with its famous and atypical bookshop Le Bleuet, its steep medieval streets and its goat cheese wrapped in a chestnut leaf.

Simiane-la-Rotonde, another village of character awaits you with its castle perched on its summit (visit optional) and a few minutes away, for the amateurs, the superb gardens of the Abbey of Valsaintes.

5. Private tour : Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, les Baux-de-Provence and/or Arles

Departure to discover Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, free time in the narrow streets lined with mansions, craftsmen and galleries, or in the heart of the big market every Wednesday.

Optionally, visit the Monastery of Saint-Paul-de-Mausole where Vincent Van Gogh lived in 1889.

We can recommend restaurants in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Mouriès or Maussane-les-Alpilles.

Stop in front of the Antiques of Glanum, then continue towards the village of Les Baux de Provence with an olive oil tasting.
Free time in the village streets or discovery (optional) of the artistic and digital immersive exhibition of the Carrières des Lumières.

Or discover the city of Arles on foot, from the Roman vestiges (ancient theater, amphitheater, cryptoporticus, obelisk…) to the art galleries, without forgetting the Luma and Lee Ufan foundations…

6. Private wine tour : Châteauneuf-du-Pape and/or Avignon

Departure for Châteauneuf-du-Pape, before your first tasting in one of the selected Domaines, we will make a panoramic stop at the foot of the ruins of the medieval Château (castle)

Visit of the cellar and tasting of 4 wines in two vineyards selected for the quality of their wines.

We will recommend restaurants in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Sorgues, Caderousse or Avignon.

In the afternoon, we will walk through the streets of Avignon, from the Pont Saint-Bénezet to the Palais of the Popes (optional visit with audio-guide).

7. Lavender fields and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie or Sault

From the first half of June to the first half of August, we will show you the most beautiful lavender fields on the Valensole plateau (or around Sault, Banon, Aurel…), stop in a farm to watch a distillation depending on the period (end of July) or free time in the village of Valensole. Several photo stops will be proposed to you. 

Optional visit of the L’Occitane factory.

We will advise you to have lunch in Valensole or Moustiers-Sainte-Marie.

In the afternoon, free visit of the perched and listed village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, famous for its earthenware since the 17th century.

8. Private wine tour : wine tasting in 3 selected vineyards

We propose you the time of a day, to leave to the discovery of the vineyards of Provence.

Tastings in two domains in the morning and a third one in the afternoon.

According to your tastes and desires, we will take you to selected vineyards and estates in the Pays d’Aix-en-Provence, the Luberon area, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Bandol, the Var or the Alpes de Haute-Provence.

9. Photo day tour in Provence : Luberon villages & Verdon

From your place of residence (around Aix-en-Provence, Lourmarin, Manosque, Gréoux-les-Bains, Forcalquier, Mane, Gordes…) you will discover the Luberon or the Verdon under a new prism, accompanied by two tourism and photography professionals.

Various themes and selected spots: lavender, vineyards, villages, crafts, street photography, black and white, agriculture, macro, sports activities, water sports, gastronomy, luxury, fashion, architecture, animals, portraits…
